Easy steps to run shalstab:

1. Unzip the file shalstab.zip

2. Copy shalstab.dll to the bin32 directory within arcview:
 (eg. c:\esri\Av_gis30\arcview\Bin32)

3. Copy shalstab.avx to the ext32 directory within arcview:
 (eg. c:\esri\Av_gis30\arcview\Ext32)

4. If exists shaltutorial.doc, copy the file to etc directory within arcview:
 (eg. c:\esri\Av_gis30\arcview\etc)

5. Copy the elev.asc and shallow.* files to your working directory

6. Start arcview

7. Go to File/extensions and check the SHALSTAB extension. Select
   your default working directory (where you want your files to reside)

8. Open "View SHALSTAB"

9. Go to File/Import data Sources, and import elev.asc from your
   working directory.
	- When propmted if you want values as integers
	  click on NO.
	- When prompted if you want to add theme to the view,
	  click YES

10. Click on View/Add Theme and add shallow.shp (mapped landslides
   theme)

11. Go to the SHALSTAB menus and start playing

12. A second data set was added: coosbay.asc is the elevation grid and slides.* are the landslide coverages
