BARD (Bay Area Regional Deformation) Network data, a collection of continuously recorded GPS sites in the Bay arean and Northern California. BARD Network The BARD GPS Network consists of continuous GPS sites main- tained by UC Berkeley Seismological Laboratory, USGS Menlo Park, and Trimble. The UC Berkeley and USGS data are archived in both raw (binary) and RINEX formats, and data from the Trimble sites are available in RINEX format only. Users are strongly encouraged to use the RINEX data, since the raw data may not always be available online. The Data Center does not provide any software for the pro- cessing of GPS data. It is assumed that users of this data provide their own processing programs. DATA RETRIEVAL The GPS data is available either via anonymous ftp in the following directories: quake.geo.berkeley.edu:/pub/gps/rinex (RINEX data) quake.geo.berkeley.edu:/pub/gps/raw (Raw data) quake.geo.berkeley.edu:/pub/gps/sites (Site descriptions) or from accounts on the data in the following directories: /data/dc1/gps/rinex (RINEX data) /data/dc1/gps/raw (Raw data) /data/dc1/gps/sites (Site descriptions) CONTACT For more information, contact: Douglas Neuhauser, doug@seismo.berkeley.edu, 510-642-0931 or gps@seismo.berkeley.edu AUTHOR Douglas Neuhauser, UC Berkeley Seismological Laboratory, California SunOS 5.5.1 Last change: 17 Aug 1994 1
